PARENTING FOR THE LONG HAUL

            PARENTING FOR THE LONG HAUL

"Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are Children".
I strongly believe that lot of  the problems in this country today can be traces to bad parenting.

If parents can create enough time to spend with their children especially during the formative years, teaching them life principles to follow, our community would have been a better place to live in

We know that peer pressure is a major factor for children going astray but if the foundation is right, and they are taught to believe in themselves, and be up-right in all their dealings, then peer pressure influence is greatly reduced without over protection.

Our major effort as parents, especially as fathers is to protect our children at all cost.
when you leave your child unprotected or unguarded , harm is sure to come their way.

This harm can be physical, mental or even emotional, with the amount of damaging information on the internet, television our children mind is absorbing more harmful information than we know.

Sexual predators are also in our neighborhood or even waiting for them on the internet.
Our children are growing up in a generation were porn, weapons and hard drugs are assessable which can be done under your roof.

Here are some reactions from Nigerians on how parents can guide their young children to make  right decisions later in life.

CUE IN ...............

CUE OUT.............

"Train up a  child in the way that should go". It is important for us to guide our children, leaving them unguided indicates lack of care which could cause emotional cracks in adulthood.
lets not sacrifice the future of our children for material things.

As a father and a archer, you must have a target and aim towards it.
Fatherly love is hard to find. Remember, parenting is for the long haul.
